Next Volunteer Spotlight

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Since I share this blog with all in volunteerism in southeastern Michigan, I am opening up the next volunteer spotlight to those volunteering in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Would you like me to profile a volunteer on this site, drop me an email. I will do my best to highlight everyone sent as I think it is important to profile the community work happening around southeastern Michigan. I look forward to hearing from you.

Volunteer Spotlight - Timothy Orikri

See this complete spotlight under the Volunteer Spotlight tab.

From time to time, I like to highlight volunteers around southeastern Michigan who are doing things to empower our community. Most recently, Timothy Orikri graced a volunteer administration luncheon I attended with some fabulous paintings he created. Tim is an artist who not only creates multimedia art that inspires and fuels creativity but he is a dedicated volunteer who inspires the passion for art in children.

Tim freely gives of himself and talent to help students explore what they can learn through art. He is sought after throughout southeastern Michigan and mentors students who are inspiring artists. Many of you may be familiar with his art as a local artist in our area. His work is known for his wide spectrum of vibrant colors, expressive themes and dramatic imagery. If you haven’t experienced his work, check it out at www.TimothyOrikri.com
