Discovering MDVAN

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Do you have a professional development plan? Not for your organization but  for you personally? If so and if you are anywhere in metro Detroit and in the volunteerism industry, I encourage you to explore membership in MDVAN. The Metropolitan Detroit Volunteer Administration Network (MDVAN) is an organization committed to promoting the professional volunteerism industry. Interested in collaborating with colleagues? Learning about other nonprofit potential partners in the community? Take a moment to learn about what MDVAN has to offer. For a nominal yearly fee, there are a wealth of learning, networking and growth opportunities for the volunteerism professional in southeastern Michigan. You can visit their website www.mdvan.org or just reply and I can share some additional information on the organization as well.

Professional Development Opportunity

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

In our work to support and inspire volunteers in our organization, it becomes important to realize that sometimes we need to take time to energize ourselves. Inspiration, busy lives and successful volunteer programs seem to be what this upcoming program is about.

Many may know Betty Stallings ~ I am most familiar with her 55-minute training series ~ very effective work.

Just passing along that she will be in the Washtenaw area in November. Want some professional development time? You might want to check it out.
